Voice Translation

• I expanded Levy’s poems into prose by identifying the setting and the inferred emotions present in the scene

• I refrained from using modernized language in order to maintain Levy’s authentic voice

• I chose to expand on the scene at the dinner table in Levy’s poem, “At a Dinner Party”, while also including a flashback to the scene present in her poem, “On the Threshold”
